Who will take empty pill packets?[edit]

Pharmacy recycling scheme[edit]

The Little Packs, Big Impact initiative from Terracycle, launched in spring 2021, lets you drop off empty blister packs in participating pharmacies. Use the map to find your nearest participating pharmacy. As far as we know, all branches of Superdrug are participating in the scheme.

Not taking/no longer taking pill packets[edit]

  • You can't put blister packs in your household recycling or take them to a recycling centre.
  • The recycling scheme is only for empty packets. If there are any tablets left in a packet that you want to get rid of, please still take them to a pharmacy, but give them to a pharmacist for safe disposal rather than putting them in the recycling bin.
